Dumpster Rental in Grayslake, IL

Every rental includes a weight allowance: 2 tons on 10, 15, and 20-yard dumpsters, and 3 tons on 25 and 30-yard dumpsters. Placing the dumpster on your driveway is the simplest option. If it needs to go on the street, contact the Village of Grayslake first through its Request for Service line at (847) 223-8515. As with every ARS rental, the customer is responsible for any permits or HOA approvals.

Some items can’t go in an ARS dumpster, including electronics, batteries, paint and chemicals, propane tanks, and tires unless approved ahead of time. Mattresses and box springs carry a $100 fee per piece. Here’s where Grayslake residents can take items we can’t accept:

• Clothing, shoes, and more: The Grayslake Public Works Facility at 585 Berry Avenue is a drop-off site for the Solid Waste Agency of Lake County (SWALCO). It accepts clothing, textiles, shoes, and food scraps, and is open weekdays and Saturday mornings.
• Household chemicals and paint: SWALCO holds free, by-appointment household chemical waste drop-offs twice a month at its facility in nearby Gurnee, plus mobile events around Lake County in warmer months.
• Electronics: SWALCO lists current electronics drop-off locations at swalco.org, or call (847) 377-4950.
